Ryukyu Musical『The Legend of the REQUIOS~The wind to NIRAI〜』
Okinawa,island located at south end of Japan.
It was called “Ryukyu “ long time ago.
Ocean was a part of life in Ryukyu, Our ancestors sailed and enjoyed trade with Asian countries.
People in those countries called them “Requios”.
“Requios”…it means Brave Sailors！
INTRODUCTION of Ryukyu Musical
“kumiodori” is traditional stage performance formed in Okinawasa 300 years ago.
And its modernized version,”Ryukyu Musical”has recently been created.
The play,”Brave Sailor Requios” and “KIMUTAKA no AMAWARI” are most famous plays of the Ryuky Musical.
Many of the performers in “Ryukyu Musical” are teenagers and not professionals,but their passionate has impressed and moved all the people who wathe the play.
Their performance of great power has been widely accepted all over japan.
